It is more than likely that a few of us hearty Zamperla reps from the U.S. will be visiting the Italian headquarters and then heading up to Munich for a day at Octoberfest. After attending some of America's largest fairs here, I can say I cannot wait to experience a fair with dozens of rides that make the Mondial Space Roller seem average. I have yet to experience any other flat ride that measures up to the Space Roller, and cannot wait to try all of those evil European designed contraptions (along with, of course the Olympia Bahn 5 looper, that HUGE double Wild Mouse, and especially the Intamin Euro Star.

Now, onto another park. After we're done with "business", I am going to pay my way and take a 5 day "holiday" to London on the way home to visit a friend who I met through the BUNAC (sp?) program last summer at Michigan's Adventure. She just got a job at a major brokerage in downtown London, and has an apartment in the heart of the city. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had a clue as to what Blackpool's schedule is like for the remainder of the year- like

a)when is illuminations and is it to be avoided due to crowds?

b)how much $$$ should I set aside for the expensive ride tickets (I am looking at riding EVERY classic ride there from the water shoot to the rocket ships to all of the dark rides, and every coaster at least twice).

c)how late in the year are they opened to- weekends only, or daily?

if I have the spare time, I may also try to hit Drayton Manor/Alton Towers in one day (tough I know as AT has been known to get crazy crowds)- is this possible to do, and what are their operating schedules like?

BTW- I'm looking at the last week of sept, or one of the first two weeks of Oct at doing this.

What's nice is that I don't have to worry about Int'l drivers licence, as she'll do the driving (I have a feeling that driving on the "other" side of the car/street may really mess me up!

thanks for any info (either post it or email me)

I lluminations are on now and finish on the 7th November. BPB is busy in the evenings but ok during the day. Best bet is to go on a week day.

The park now does unlimited ride wristbands for 25 pounds. You can use these for nearly all the rides and attractions for a whole day.

BPB (and most UK parks) will close on Sunday 7th November. However, BPB will then open a select few rides for weekends through to the millennium.

Enjoy your visit!

Greg.
