Knoebels Phoenix model available
I have a wooden model of the Phoenix coaster that I need to get rid of. I would hate for it to be destroyed but I am moving and have nowhere for it to go due to it's large size. It's about 5ft long. This is around 10 years old and is not in perfect condition but I think the only major issues are some of the railing is broken and it's quite dusty/dirty. It also has chasing lights but I'm not sure if they work anymore. I can provide photos of the actual model to anyone who is interested, but here is the site it was purchased from and you can take a look at another Phoenix model that he built -
The one I have is almost exactly like that. I assume it will cost well over $100 to ship, but other than that I have no clue what to ask for it. If anyone is interested I guess we can discuss a price? I'm not looking to make a huge profit here, I just want to get rid of it :] |

Where do you live? You don't have to worry about shipping it if you find someone local or someone who is willing to drive for it. (I hope you say PA!) |

Would you be willing to donate the model to the National Roller Coaster Museum Archives? The Archives are being mostly stored up in Plainview, TX at Larson Int'l. If you would be interested, contact Gary Slade at Amusement Today (located in Arlington, TX) at 817-460-7220. You wouldn't have to ship it anywhere- someone would pick it up if they had interest. If you are 3 hours west of DFW, would that be somewere between Abilene and Midland? |

This is an excellent idea. Hopefully it ends up there if you can't find a buyer nearby. |

No freaking way. I am from Abilene, a 1998 graduate of the Abilene High. Send me an email at pattonsides@yahoo.com. This is an unbelievable coincidence. How long have you been doing coaster models? Been an enthusiast? I will be in Abilene for about a month over my Christmas break. Pat-O |
