Closing day at CP highlights

So, I haven't been in the holy mecca of roller coasters since 2005. It was time and I decided to take the trip with my best friend to close out our coaster season and had a wonderful day! Here are some highlights.

-Maverick kicks some major ass! The night ride in fog was so amazing I can't even describe it. Got more airtime in the front then the back and still loved it!

-Maggie is still a good old girl after 20 years. We were on the very last train of the season and it was so incredible with no trims on and bitter ass cold. Maggie gave me Voyage like airtime all over the place. Back seat is the best!

-Midway Market was cheap today. We had decent food. You can tell the mashed potatoes and stuffing they served were instant (my grandma makes them instant so I can tell.) The place was decently crowded. The chicken was pretty good. 11.85 a person, not bad.

-The Chris Linn magicomedy show was funny. He has good facial instincts while talking to the crowd. I liked that.

-The Ferris Wheel was awesome but VERY VERY VERY COLD!

-Rode the train a few times. Nice relaxing ride.

-Went through The Boekling Estate and Toy Factory haunts. Both were great but Toy Factory was CRAZY good and scary. The scaracters were really good! They got me good a LOT!

-Went through the "scare zone" and you couldn't see an inch in front of your face. Fog everywhere, blinding lights, just outright craziness.

-Rode Disaster Transport. Woooooo....yeah that's about it.

We really just took our time and wandered around. We shopped and just took our time. We didn't ride a whole lot. We were there more for the scare stuff then rides.

Ran into some executives with none of the lanyards for Demon Drops last rides. Gonna miss that old girl. Rode her twice today. That transition hurts like hell. LOL

Oh well....thats about it. We had a fantastic time and I can't wait to do it again!!!! We took some pictures, if you would like to view them, click the link below!

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the TR! I've been to CP on closing day, and it sounds as though you fared better than I did last year. Sandusky is just that much further north that the daylight is just that much shorter and the weather that much colder. I liked Chris Lynn, but found this year's show not quite as funny as last year's. And Disaster Transport seems to be so much more enjoyable in cold weather!

Was there some sort of promo for last rides on Demon Drop?

I don't know if I should be looking forward to receiving this hand me down or not. Freefall at Magic Mountain wasn't exactly painless either.

They had a contest going on for the last day to be the last public rider on Demon Drop. Other then that, I got in for 15 dollars because my friend is a pass holder and they were running that special.

So, what's going into the empty space left by Demon Drop.

Eric, if that is the same kind of "planters" that Kings Island put in last spring, I'm all about that:)
