Wrappin' It Up For '09
For many of us not fortunate to live in areas where our favorite places are open year-round, this Halloween Weekend marks our last opportunity to hit the parks. Whattya got planned, buoys and gulls? I don't know yet what I'll be doing. I don't have to go back to work until Wednesday. We'll have to see. I've never spent Halloween Day at GAdv, so that's very high on my possibility list. I was recently "facebooked" by a girl I went to college with whom I haven't seen or even talked to in almost 20 years. Turns out she lives near GAdv. If I go to the park I may leave mid-day and meet her for lunch. But if I'm in the middle of a run on Toro like I had last Saturday..well, Liz will just have to wait! Mike

> I will be at Cedar Point closing day to ride Demon Drop! I was at CP closing day last year... cold and rainy. Hope you fare better. As for this year: work KI Friday and all day Saturday.
Next week: two weeks in Orlando! Have a tolerable off season everyone! |

Thanks for the tip Rob! It's supposed to be in the low 50's and scattered rain earlier this week, but it looks like it's clearing up with no rain in sight! |

No parks for me. Gonna spend Saturday with my fiance. Goin' trick-or-treating that evening, and later going to see Zombieland. -Josh, who normally doesn't trick-or-treat, but Kailee wants to, so I'll go with it. |

Fortunately BGE is doing their first Christmastown event so I have until the end of the year to say goodbye to 2009. |

> Next week: two weeks in Orlando! > I wish you the same non-crowded conditions I had last week. Thanks - we hope so too! > Which parks will you be visiting? Mainly Disney and Universal. I won a seven day ticket to USF, and bought another 7-days for my wife. We haven't been to USF/IOA since 2002 so there's a lot of catching up to do. Of course, we won't be at Universal for seven days, but plan to come and go and have a leisurely visit. Also we each get a free day at Disney - our birthdays are a week apart, so we'll probably buy several additional days. Unfortunately their ticket pricing remains high up to three days, then rolls off so 5-6-7 days costs little more. Again, we'll likely do the same deal as USF... visit each park, leave when we tire... which happens more quickly that we'd like at our age. This is our first year vacationing without our boys. We did BGW last spring and CP last month. Also we'll be going to Tampa bay to visit friends and family, but as we did BGT just last summer, most likely won't be going back there again. Thanks for asking! |

Crowds weren't bad at Magic Kingdom today. Peter Pan had a 30 minute line, which really isn't bad. And the longest I saw at Big Thunder and Splash was 20 minutes I think. We're planning on having a family dinner at either the Polynesian or Contemporary resort, then heading over to Poly's beach and watching the Not-So-Scary's fireworks from there. Should be a nice evening. |

I hit up Six Flags Magic Mountain last night and had a great time. So good, that I will write a trip report. I'm going to attempt to stop by Disneyland either tonight or tomorrow, but I expect I won't be able to since there will probably be no parking again. This attempt to visit this past Wednesday evening was a failure. |
