As I pulled into the parking Lot on Saturday at GAdv, I was handed a rather interesting flyer.

On FRIDAY THE 13TH(!!!) of November, Six Flags, The Lakewood Blue Claws ballclub, and a couple of Jersey radio stations are sponsoring an event. Great Adventure will open for 2 hours, from 5-7 pm.

Donate as much as you can spare.

Admission, Entertainment, Games, Coffee, Hot Apple Cider, and Food are FREE with a donation for the Salvation Army or Toys For Tots.

New, used, or in Good condition: Blankets, Coats, Pants, Sweaters, Scarfs, Gloves, Shoes and Boots. Men, Women, and Children's clothing. Unwrapped New Toys ONLY!

Now that's just weird!

Who opens a park (benefit or not and especially one this big) for only two hours????

I might consider going if it was open all day with El Toro and all the other coasters running. But I live 5 hours away from Jax, NJ so it wouldn't be worth driving up for only two pathetic hours.
