I think this is fantastic news particularly with the rumors that the parks might be closed forever.

Never heard any rumors that the parks would be closing, and I'm quite confident that anyone saying that didn't have any clue what they were talking about. This purchase, with these buyers, have been strongly rumored for months now.

My only disappointment is that it looks like they're going to keep the Busch parks completely independent of the other parks, particularly Universal. I was kind of, selfishly, hoping that they would join them enough to offer a "super" annual pass that would allow admission to the Busch and Universal parks, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Outside of that, I'm very pleased as this was the one company I could see still allowing Busch to maintain, or even improve, the quality of the parks.

Personally I feel this buyout will be great for the parks and for the industry. Regarding the super pass, I recall in past visits to FL they had a multi-park deal that allowed you to visit Universal, BGT, and I believe SW.

Yes, they still do, but they are limited days (can't remember if it's within 7, 10 or 14 days). I'm dreaming of the annual pass that would let you do that. But yeah, it's just a dream.

In the meantime I'll still have to pick and choose one or the other to have an annual pass at.

This is fantastic news indeed. Now I'm happy that BG and SW will both be safe. I just hope now it means we will see a replacement for BBW at BGE soon.
