Having seen Paula's message on Facebook a few days ago, I decided to check out room rates in the area for the event which takes place on June 4th and 5th.

I pulled up Choice Hotel's website since they are many discounted hotels of this brand in the area.

I was shocked to have found hotels within 15 miles of the park with rates under $100 a night.

In the hotel biz, budgets for 2010 are being completed as we speak and there are some great discounts if you reserve early

We've stayed at the Comfort Inn in Ferdinand (right off the highway) and the Sleep Inn in Japser. Both were nice clean rooms, but pricey, especially the weekend of the event.

Book early.

Reservations don't cost you anything to make in the future and they send you email reminders one week before travel in the event you forgot about the reservations you made eight months ago.

Hopefully I will be able to go next year I have a job now and almost have my license finally so I should be there next june
