Thanks for the educational and entertaining tour, Mark!
So many great photos and captions, as per your usual efforts.
I learned a lot.
Among other things, that you seem to like micro- and local brews!
I'm always on the lookout for more "substantial" brews myself. And there is lots out there. Yum!

And Enchanted Forest looks like a place even Liz would like.

Great pics, Mark!

I guess you didn't have time to sneak a quick trip up to Vancouver for Playland?

No I didn't, JB and it nearly killed me as the PNE Coaster is probably the one highly regarded woodie in North America that has escaped me to this point. When planning the trip, it was just impossible to do since the park is only open on weekends and (partially due to Southwest's schedule and the fact that we were cashing in rewards for the trip) we started and ended in Portland on Saturdays.

As it turned out, we probably could have snuck up to Vancouver for a daytrip from Seattle just to see the city a bit, but it would have hurt to be there and not be able to hit Coaster.

Joe, you suck. Not that that's a bad thing....

We def need to meet up at some point (whether for lunch, or SFA). I took Eric to Ann's when he visited us in June and I had a hard time pulling him away from the counter. He's almost as much a tube steak slut as I am.

Don't forget about Chili Man Wieners and Burger Bros in Towson for more great roadfood....

Thanks, Mike. I'd like to say I've introduced beer to Amanda while she has introduced Tea to me. Given she is 5 months along making what will surely be an interesting looking alien type thing in her belly, no beer for her on this trip- but she sniffed mine, and was able to drink some damn good house brewed root beer at most of the brewpubs. New England, Denver, and the PAC NW are probably the three best microbrew beer areas in the country.

You and Liz should def consider this very trip in Sept with a stop at Puyallup.

Re: Pacific Northwest Photos

Bernard- we are missing PPP this year. I first attended the event in 1997 and haven't missed one since :(

My dad's 60th surprise party is that weekend and I will be airport taxi bitch picking people up at JFK and LaGuardia and bringing them to their hotels on Strong Island.

We will be back strong in 2010 with "Ms. Thang Rosenzweig" in the stroller! The goal is to have her drinking blue birch beer in her bottle and have rib-a-que sauce all over her bib so she fits in with the other ACErs in attendance!

How have you been?

Ah that sucks about the park schedule.

Definitely make that a priority when you head back that way. And when you go check out the city you MUST see the Gastown Steam Clock!
