Coaster Zombies...On Film

Saw a commercial tonight during either Family Guy or The Cleveland Show for the new flick ZOMBIELAND, starring ol' Woody from Cheers..That's MISTER Harrelson to you! It appears to be a Shaun Of The Dead-style living-dead comedy splatterfest. But one scene in the trailer takes place on a roller coaster. Looks like a Wild Mouse with yellow track. Maybe this scene will take its place in the pantheon of classic roller coaster sequences in the movies, to go along with:

National Lampoon's Vacation
Rollercoaster
Final Destination 3
Roller Coaster Rabbit...starring Roger, Baby Herman, and (sigh...) Jessica

According to that, it was partly filmed at Wild Adventures in Georgia.

Looks quite funny to me.

Didn't know that, but the coaster DID look familiar to me. I went to WA for the first time in '08. It appears, based on Wikipedia's entry, that the amusement park figures in more than just one scene. If they can pull off something like the 1979 Dawn Of The Dead, and make the park practically a character in the film, as the Monroeville Mall was in the earlier film...then I'd have high hopes for the flick.

Amen!

I loved Shaun of the dead, hilarious movie! And from the promos, I think I might like this movie as well.

:sigh: if only Jessica Rabbit was real, agreed w/you there ;)

A scene in the commercial I saw tonight shows a zombie getting iced by a swinging MaxAir type ride. I seem to remember WA having one..Rattler, is it?

I can't wait to see this flick. It opens this weekend, along with the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 3D Double Feature..also on my viewing agenda. Not sure what I'll be doing this weekend, but an amusement park will be involved. May wait a week on the flicks. I actually can't remember the last movie I saw.

Lol. Well it is not my place to say if she's real or not. ;)

But seriously, if I have some free time when the movie comes out, I will be watching it :)

I'm still bummed that I couldn't have seen the Star Trek movie on an Imax screen :( That was an awesome movie and it joins the Dark Knight as among my top 2 favs for recent movies.

You think the Dark Knight MOVIE was good, I hope you've tried the coaster! It's much better than the movie! It's so awesome! It goes like 102 mph and has a 539 foot drop and 17 inversions, with INCREDIBLE special effects! Oh wait, I'm still dreaming..I'm not awake yet.

We did see it in IMAX, and went in with high hopes. But all the way thru I just wanted to pull the cameraman back a few feet and make him hold still.
