Six Flags Under Water

Has anyone seen the video on Fox News this morning? Six Flags Over Georgia is flooded! It will be a horrendous clean-up.

I saw it on our local ABC channel. They did not say it was SFOG
but I guessed it was based on seeing a very Batman looking coaster.

I didn't see it on the news, but here's a youtube video of it.

Hope everything can be cleaned up. Though, flood damage may add to Batman:TR's theming. ;)

That looks worse than the time Hurricane Katrina sank SFNO!

Good news is that the park is on a hill, so only that outer edge of the park sunk. You can see that where the Batmobile is isn't under water, and the ampitheater is dry too. Though, the video doesn't show the entrance or the rest of the park, so Idk, but at least some of it is above water. SFNO was 100% submerged.

I thought this thread was going to be about their bankrupcy proceedings. But being LITERALLY underwater certainly doesn't help when they are already FINANCIALLY under water!

Re: Six Flags Under Water

As the article said, SFOG has dealt with this in the past. It's been published before. I believe Scream Machine was constructed to handle flooding.

The thing I would be concerned about would be newer areas (it's going to take some work to clean out the kiddie slides shown in Thomastown) and stores/restuaraunts.

Re: Six Flags Under Water

As far as I know this park is a big money maker for 6 Flags.
I am sure they will do all they can to fix it up again.
I loved the park, and most of the rides in question.

But maybe now I know why the bottom of every drop on scream machine was so bad.
Maybe this Flood will turn out to be a blessing for that ride, as the bottom of the drops will need work now.
