Vekoma to make SLCs... rideable?
Click the link. Not much to band your head on here. |

You gave me an idea Jcarr; To save money on the original SLC trains, just bandage your head like a large turban; It should fit snugly in between those old OTHR's and they'll be no headbanging. LOL! I know that you meant to say 'bang" not "band". For real though, those restraints look 100% better. Hopefully this new tech will eventually get rid of those old headbangers; I hope that Vekoma will make some for the Hang-N-bang Jr's too.

Looks great to me. Should be fun to see how the progress with this and how many of the SLC's that they eventually get it on. it does look a lot more comfortable and a lot less prone to pain than the old restraints. |

I like the look of it. I'm sure the years of complaining from enthusiasts may have been a factor that motivated Vekoma to engineer a new restraint. From the looks of it I could almost imagine that it would be possible to do away the over-the-shoulder part and just making it a lap bar/waist restraint. Overall, it looks like a huge improvement. |

I think this kind of restraint has a large variety of aplications. I said to myself the other day, If Delirium at KI had a better field of vision. It would be even better than it is (Than those huge bulky head things that block all perifial vision. Chuck |

They look pretty sweet, but me, Mr. Negative, must wonder if they do anything to prevent the rougness in general? I mean, the head banging would be gone, but what about the horrid forward and backwards slamming these things do? Call me skeptical, but I just have to wonder... -Josh |

I'll be sure not to sit near front seat area because of that back bending "sidewinder". In the middle or back seats with those new and improved restraints, I'll think that I'll be okay. |
