X...........too little inversions.........

i LOVE the X coaster at SFMM, but when you look at it, you would think it has at least as many inversions as Viper, if not more. they added too little inversions! for a roller coaster that can spin 360 degrees freely, with the track going god knows where, i think there should have been more inversions.

I personally think they tried to do too much with X. I think Arrow should have built their first one on a much smaller scale (with perhaps more "inversions"). I think part of the reason for the looooooooong delay in opening and the problems since then is that they tried to do too much. It's a piece of crap anyway, IMHO.

I'll be the odd man here. Personally I think that X is just about perfect the way it is- at least from a riding standpoint. The length and elements are great- not to long, not to short.

Aaron must have had one of those rough rides that I've heard about, but never encountered personally. There are certainly mechanical issues that they could have worked out much better, and it's to bad they didn't. But I love the ride as it is.

I am with Sir Willow, on this one. Although I wish it had some more inverted spins by the cars, it is great as it is. Too bad we may never see any improvements made on it on another coaster somewhere.

I'd have to agree with you. I think X is perfect as well, with the exception of the final Raven Turn which is too small and too intense resulting in a rough finish.

Too little inversions... I disagree and also don't understand what an inversion is on X. The 4th dimension coaster really is not about inversions. In fact, I don't really even agree with the park's statement of how many inversions there are. It's hard to define what an inversion is on this kind of ride. Is a flip an inversion or does the track have to form a loop?

I've had a variety of rides on X, some of which were smooth and others where I felt I was an egg in a bowl being scrambled.

In the long term I think it would like to see SF replace the trains and work on the loading and unloading process to speed it up. The rotation of the seats is too slow and thus takes up valuable time in dispatching the train.

I believe I've suffered through X 6 times (give or take) and every one of them was rough. I will say that I've always taken the outside seat and let my lovely wife have the inside (and from what I've heard smoother) seat. I'd rather ride Flashback to be perfectly honest. At least it's funny how bad it is. I've always said I think X is a great idea that just didn't get pulled off well. Maybe if I ride it again I'll get lucky and have a nice ride, but I'm not holding my breath.

i think X is fine the way it is.
u don't need to fix X it is the only 4 dimension coaster
and all the frontflips and backfilps make up for the "little" inversions
