This traditional amusement park with Southern charm is on the border of Georgia and Tennessee just a few miles from Chattanooga. Lake Winnepesaukah or Lake Winnie gets its name from the lake it surrounds and has been operating since 1925. An assortment of classic rides along with some newer thrill rides is offered at the park. Some of the historic attractions include the Cannon Ball wooden coaster, a 1916 historic PTC Carousel and the last remaining Old Mill dark boat ride with a drop that was built in 1926. The park is located off Interstate 75, Route 41 exit. Continue on Ringold Road 2 miles to McBrien Road, turn left and Lake Winnepesaukah will be ahead two miles on Lakeview Drive. Lake Winnepesaukah operates April through September.
