Lakemont Park Altoona, PA Dating back to 1894, Lakemont Park has become the 8th oldest amusement park in the United States. Originally founded as a trolley park, Lakemont now offers both an amusement park and water park for one admission. One of park's most prized possessions is the world's oldest roller coaster, Leap-The-Dips. This last of its kind roller coaster was also named National Historic Landmark in 1996. Today, Lakemont Park thrills guests with 30 rides and attractions, including the Island Waterpark, two wooden roller coasters, go-karts, and miniature golf.
