As of September 16, 2007, Geauga Lake amusement park has closed forever. The Wildwater Kingdom water park will continue to operate, however all of the rides and attractions on the amusement park side will be removed.
Located in Aurora, Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom is a combination amusement park and waterpark for one admission price. This family friendly amusement park features more than 40 rides and attractions, including eight thrilling roller coasters. The adjacent 17-acre Wildwater Kingdom waterpark has an assortment of water slides, pools and attractions. The centerpiece of the waterpark is the massive 390,000-gallon Tidal Wave Bay wave pool. The waterpark also features Ohio's tallest water slide complex with seven different winding choices to get down.
Geauga Lake was formerly named Six Flags Worlds of Adventure theme park until it was purchased in April 2004. The park reopened in May using its original name Geauga Lake.
