The first major ride to be added to Pleasure Beach Blackpool after World War II was this wooden Wild Mouse in 1958. A rare surviving example of the wooden variety, its one of only three left in the world. Wild Mouse is not for the faint of heart. Designed by Frank Wright and modified by the Velare Brothers in the early 60s, the Wild Mouse is an extreme ride consisting of a big drop, tight swtichback turns, and a couple of dips. Riders ride in individual cars seated two inline in a single row.
