Top Gun

Kings Island
:: Editor's Choice :: This suspended roller coaster creates the sensation of flight through the hilly wooded terrain of Kings Island. Riders on Flight Deck are seated two abreast in four passenger cars suspended from the overhead steel track. The uniqueness of a suspended coaster comes from the design of the cars that allow them to freely swing from side-to-side throughout the ride. The excitement on Flight Deck begins as the train takes off from a height of 98 feet to fly down into a series of twists and turns, each one sending the cars swinging out to one side or the other. Like its sister Vortex at Canada's Wonderland, Flight Deck is considered to be one of the best suspended coasters in the world.
