Shivering Timbers

Michigan's Adventure
Shivering Timbers designed by Custom Coasters took the traditional "out and back" design one step further, making it the first "way out and back" wooden coaster. With its three large drops and bunny hill return, Shivering Timbers is the perfect blend of airtime and speed, while delivering variety through its trick track and intense helix ending. Shivering Timbers marked the debut of the "trick track" feature for Custom Coasters. In an area that would usually be flat, the trick track gives riders a quick, fun side-to-side push. This element is reminiscent of the "jazz track" often used by the late Harry Traver in his coaster designs.
