The Rattler when it debuted in 1992 became the world's tallest, fastest wooden coaster and featured the largest drop as well – 166-feet. However, after a series of necessary modifications this roller coaster now features a much shorter drop of 124-feet. The Rattler is terrain wooden coaster that incorporates the cliffs of the quarry wall at Six Flags Fiesta Texas into its layout, including a long tunnel through it during the second half of the ride. Another talked about feature of The Rattler is a huge 900-degree helix that is situated high atop the quarry wall.
