Cedar Point

Located on three acres beside Cedar Point's Main Midway is this multi-element inverted roller coaster, Raptor. Designed and built by Bolliger & Mabillard of Switzerland, Raptor is 3,790-feet long, stands 137-feet tall, goes upside down six times and flies at a top speed of 57 mph. When it opened it was the tallest, fastest and longest inverted roller coaster in the world. Raptor takes riders upside down six times in trains suspended from the overhead track, while seated in seats that are similar to ski lift chairs. The specially designed seats allow riders' legs to dangle free, thus enhancing the sensation of flight. Raptor was also the first roller coaster in the world to feature the "Cobra Roll" double inversion element. Since its debut in 1994, Raptor has given more than 25 million rides.
