Journey to Atlantis at SeaWorld San Diego is a unique thrill ride since it is a combination of a water flume ride and a steel roller coaster. The attraction begins with the flume ride that includes several splash down drops. Halfway through the ride the individual cars are taken out of the water via a elevator style lift and join with a steel roller coaster track. Journey to Atlantis concludes with one more splash down in the water flume.
