Iron Dragon

Rule

Cedar Point

Iron Dragon is a suspended roller coaster meaning that the trains are suspended from an overhead tubular steel track. To further enhance the ride experience, the seven-car trains also are designed to sway from side-to-side. Iron Dragon built by Arrow Dynamics and designed by Ron Toomer has two portions separated by the coaster's two lift hills. Iron Dragon has a terrain layout that starts with you cruising high above the treetops, but also includes swooping turns, twisting drops and a memorable high-speed helix over a mist filled lagoon. Since its debut at Cedar Point in 1987, Iron Dragon has given more than 34 million rides.
