El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure, translated The Bull in Spanish, is an "out-and-back twister hybrid" wooden coaster, offering four linear hair-raising drops (out and back design) with a beastly, twisted finale of multiple highly-banked curves (twister design). El Toro marries the smooth ride, height, speed and exciting twisting elements of steel coasters with a classic wooden design. At opening El Toro ranked as the second tallest and fastest wooden coaster in the U.S. with the second longest drop and as the third tallest and fastest in the world. This roller coaster also broke the world record for the steepest angle of descent on a wooden coaster at 76 degrees.
