Desperado

Buffalo Bill's Hotel and Casino

Ron Toomer of Arrow Dynamics designed the Desperado, a record-breaking roller coaster that was the tallest and fastest in the world when it opened in 1994. Located at Buffalo Bill's Resort and Casino at the Stateline between California and Nevada, the roller coaster has become an area landmark that is visible for miles. Despite the odd location, Desperado attracts plenty of attention from the thousands of passing motorists traveling to and from Las Vegas. Standing 209-feet tall, Desperado features an unforgettable 225-foot drop into a dark, enclosed tunnel. The coaster's thirty passenger trains then rocket along more than a mile of steel track at speeds of up to 80 mph!
