Carolina Cyclone

Carowinds
The first roller coaster in the world to send riders upside down four times, Carolina Cyclone debuted at Carowinds theme park in March 1980. This 2,100-foot long tubular steel tracked coaster was designed and built by Arrow Development for $2 million. Located in the Carolina Boardwalk section of the park, Carolina Cyclone starts with a 65-foot drop that sends the seven-car trains barreling through two back-to-back vertical loops and two corkscrew inversions at speeds reaching 41 mph before finishing with a 450-degree upward helix.
