 Batman The Ride
Six Flags New Orleans
Soar on Batman's newest crime fighting device, Batman The Ride. This high-tech roller coaster soars 105 feet in the air at speeds reaching 50 mph. Suspended from the track in skilift style trains, you'll fly through hairpin turns, corkscrews and two loops with nothing but air beneath your dangling feet on this Swiss designed inverted roller coaster. This particular roller coaster model was built and operated as Gambit at Thrill Valley in Japan and is a mirror image of the original Batman The Ride inverted coaster. In 2002, Six Flags purchased this roller coaster and it was relocated to Six Flags New Orleans for the 2003 season.

April 2007 - Crews begin to dismantle Batman The Ride for relocation to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
August 2005 - Batman The Ride closes after Six Flags New Orleans is devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
April 12, 2003 - Reopens at Six Flags New Oreleans and renamed Batman The Ride.
2002 - Relocated from Thrill Valley where it operated until May 6, 2002.
1995 - Gambit opens at Thrill Valley in Gotemba, Japan.
Inversions: Vertical Loop, Zero-G Roll, Vertical Loop, Two Corkscrews
Trains have seven cars with one row each, seating four abreast per row.
