Possessed is prototype inverted, launched shuttle coaster was designed by Intamin and originally operated at Geauga Lake before being relocated to Dorney Park. One 28-passenger train is suspended from an overhead inverted tubular steel track. The 'U' shape layout features a horizontal section of track with two vertical spikes at either end. The forward spike features a spiraling ascent and the rear spike is a straight 90-degree ascent. Using high-tech linear induction motors, Possessed propels the train forwards and backwards until they reach the top of the 181-foot tall spikes. To add to the thrill a magnetic brake on the rear spike catches the train, holding it for a few seconds surprising unsuspecting riders.
