Pleasure Beach Blackpool
Space Invader 2 is no longer in operation at Pleasure Beach Blackpool. The ride closed on September 8, 2008, has been put up for sale and the building that enclosed this roller coaster is being converted into the Pleasure Beach History Museum.
Space Invader was an enclosed, sit down roller coaster that was built in 1984. Individual cars, seating three passengers inline, descend a 59-foot drop in total darkness. The roller coaster includes multiple drops, banked turns and a helix.

Space Invader 2 Facts
2003 - Refurbished by KumbaK Coasters. Individual cars were modified to include a lap bar style restraint. Space Invader renamed Space Invader 2.
September 8, 2008 – After an evacuation this roller coaster was closed for healty & safety reasons and will not reopen.
Individual car has three rows each, seating one inline per row.
