Knott's Berry Farm puts a twist on a traditional roller coaster with Sierra Sidewinder. Designed by Mack Rides of Germany, this installation is only the second coaster of its kind in the world. Sierra Sidewinder is a spinning coaster, but instead of having individual cars, it has two trains of four cars. Riders are seated two abreast per row, back-to-back, in each car. The coaster is 1,411 feet long, stands six stories tall, and features a 39-foot first drop that propels the trains to a top speed of 37 miles-per-hour. The spinning cars are uncontrolled, so each ride should deliver a unique experience. Sierra Sidewinder is located at the entrance of Knott's Camp Snoopy.
