One of the world's fastest steel coasters, RingºRacer, is part of the German motor sport racetrack Nürburgring that is also referred to as "The Ring" by fans. RingºRacer is a Thrust Air roller coaster and uses compressed-air to launch the ride vehicle to 99.4 miles-per-hour in just two seconds. The ride was originally promoted to have a launch of 134.8 miles-per-hour reached in just 2.5 seconds. Unfortunately, after just four days of operation RingºRacer closed and the future of the ride is unknown.
