Since 1971 Sandy Lake Park has been a favorite local amusement park and picnic location near Dallas. There are over 20 rides for adults and children, including a roller coaster, miniature train, merry-go-round, rock-o-plane, scrambler and more. Sandy Lake Park also has a miniature golf course and a swimming pool that is one of the largest in the country. The park operates April through September.
