Lesourdsville Lake The Great American Amusement park reopened for the 2002 season. The park formely known as Americana closed after the 1999 season. Under new ownership the park and its classic wooden roller coaster Screechin' Eagle returned to operation on June 7, 2002. Unfortunately, the fun only lasted one season and LeSourdsville Lake closed at the end of the 2002 season. Presently, the owners are seeking a new management company to operate the park and have no immediate plans to reopen.
