Unfortunately, after the 2006 season Joyland amusement park failed to open for the 2007 season and remains closed until further notice.
Joyland is Wichita's largest family amusement park that dates back to 1949. After a two-year closure the park returns to operation for 2006 with new operating partners. Joyland's attractions include a historic wooden roller coaster that is one of only a few that are still in operation. Other original rides include a C.P. Huntington Train, Allan Herschell Merry-Go Round, and a large collection of kiddie land rides. In total, Joyland has 24 amusement park rides.
