G5
Janfusun Fancyworld, Taiwan
Are you ready to fall... freefall... while riding on a roller coaster...
Sound intimidating?
For some it may be, but for the rest this is a unique experience found at only two theme parks in the world.
In March, Janfusun Fancyworld in Taiwan unveiled their latest ride designed to scare the pants off people, G5. Lost among all the hype of the more than forty new coasters being built in the US this year. G5 is the talk of Taiwan.
Also known as a vertical dive coaster, this awesome thrill ride drops sixteen riders at a time, straight down a near vertical (87.5 degree), 180 foot drop! Imagine having to stomach that one.
The world's first vertical drop coaster opened in 1998 at Alton Towers in the United Kingdom. G5 is a mirror replica of the original that was designed by Bolliger and Mabillard (B&M) of Switzerland.
If you've ever wanted to visit Taiwan, now you have one more reason to do so. Next time you're in south east part of Asia, I am sure you will drop in to Janfusun Fancyworld for maybe one, or two, or a hundred falls on G5.
Now check out some photos of G5.
